The one against fascist and Nazi propaganda "is an important and necessary bill on which 250,000 signatures have been collected and I believe that it is time to bring it to Parliament where the last legislature had already arrived. We ask, we insist that it be scheduled as soon as possible". This was said by the secretary of the Democratic Party, Elly Schlein, in Sant'Anna di Stazzema (Lucca), where she is visiting for the first time, referring to the law of 'anti-fascist' popular initiative promoted by the Municipality of Stazzema.
"It is important - said Schlein - for the memory in this abstract that is even more striking for the many boys and girls killed, it is important to remember the Nazi-Fascist massacres because we cannot build a better future without having memory of massacres like the one that happened in Sant'Anna di Stazzema. They are fundamental pieces of memory. The roots of that evil can recur in different forms, in our daily lives hatred, violence and discrimination are present. We must fight them together with the nationalism that in our European continent has always caused war, the oppression of human beings forgetting the dignity of people", he concluded.
