British actressCharlotte Rampling will hold tomorrow the 'laudatio' by Liliana Cavani, Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement at the Venice Biennale, at the award ceremony scheduled in the Sala Grande of the Palazzo del Cinema.
The award ceremony will take place on the occasion of the opening night of the 80th Venice International Film Festival of the Biennale.
Charlotte Rampling was the unforgettable protagonist of The Night Porter (1974) by the Italian director, alongside Dirk Bogarde. The film received two Silver Ribbon nominations. Rampling, nominated for an Oscar in 2016 for Andrew Haigh's '45 years', won the Volpi Cup for Best Actress at the Venice Film Festival in 2017 for Andrea Pallaoro's 'Hannah'.
