An orange sky, a sun veiled in a yellowish mist. Since the beginning of September, air loaded with sand from the Sahara has crossed the France. This "veil of desert dust", in the words of Météo France, is carried by winds from northern Africa, crosses Spain and arrives in France from the Southwest. This phenomenon, observed for several years and which sometimes deposits sand on the hoods of cars, causes pollution.
