Deficit up in Nadef estimates, towards 5%
The 2023 deficit could be revised upwards in Nadef's new estimates. Considering the data of the Superbonus, which will have to be taken into account, and those on the performance of the economy, from 4.5% of GDP indicated in the Def it could rise this year - as anticipated by a Bloomberg analysis - towards 5%.
Superbonus, Visco: 'It cannot be permanent'. Towards extension for condominiums
"There have been necessary interventions during the pandemic, other interventions necessary for the increase in energy prices, but they cannot be permanent tools to be maintained over time". This was stated by the governor of the Bank of Italy, Ignazio Visco, in reference to the Superbonus. "The Superbonus should have ended soon, we said that it grew up with somewhat strange mechanisms, others said it", adds Visco at an ISPI meeting in Milan.
However, according to parliamentary and government sources, an extension of at least three months of the 110% superbonus for condominiums would be being studied to guarantee the facilitation to condominiums that have not completed the work by the end of the year. The extension, which would extend to the first three months of 2024 the possibility of using the facility expiring this year, would still be linked to the achievement of a certain threshold of progress of the work, which could be around 60-70%.
The superbonus, which in 2023 fell to 90%, remained at 110% only for condominiums that had approved the works and presented the Cila by November 2022.
