The first festival dedicated to oysters 'made in Italy' is born. Not only Ligurian, but also from Sardinia, Puglia, Veneto, Emilia Romagna. And there will also be a guest arriving from France. The appointment with Italian Oyster Fest is in La Spezia from 6 to 8 October.
The initiative sees the collaboration of the Chamber of CommerceRiviere di Liguria, Port System Authority of the Eastern Ligurian Sea, Coop League and cooperative Mitilicoltori spezzini, with the patronage of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Liguria Region and the Municipality of La Spezia.
In the three days at the center there will be sustainability, taste and accessibility, through the experiences of Italian manufacturers.
In La Spezia the cultivation of oysters was introduced at the end of 800, but the lack of a market at the time made it preferable to cultivate the typical muscles. In the last decade oysters have also been reintroduced in the Gulf of Poets, an important production that has distinguished itself for quality and sustainability.
The first festival of oysters made in Italy will be hosted in the space of Calata Paita, in the port of La Spezia, freed from containers and equipped for events and commercial uses.
