Revealed: Son of perfume brand founder Joe Malone blames Israel for Hamas massacre | Israel Hayom

2023-10-12T17:44:34.587Z

Highlights: Josh Wilcox, 22, is one of three students leading the Palestinian Solidarity Organization at the prestigious university. Wilcox's mother, Joan Malone, founder of the successful brand, declined to comment on the information. The brand has since been owned exclusively by the Estée Lauder Group, which is not related to the Malone family. The group is currently strengthening the State of Israel, the IDF and the citizens of the state, the Lauder family said in response to a story posted on their Instagram account.

According to Wilcox, a Harvard student and leader of the student cell in the Palestinian Solidarity Organization, only the "apartheid regime" should be blamed for the terrorist organization's attack. It is important to clarify that the perfume brand, which is now under the Estée Lauder Group, is no longer related to founder Joe Malone, since it was bought by the beauty giant years ago. Lauder said in response: "We strengthen the State of Israel and the IDF."

Josh Wilcox, the student son of the founder of British luxury fragrance brand Jo Malone (Joan Leslie Malone), is among the leaders of the solidarity petition at Harvard University, which claims that Israel is to blame for the mass slaughter carried out by Hamas, the Daily Mail website revealed on Thursday.

Wilcox, 22, is one of three students leading the undergraduate cell of the Palestinian Solidarity Organization at the prestigious university, who supported an anti-Israel statement issued last Sunday at Harvard University in Boston, signed by more than <> student organizations from various schools at the university, including the human rights branch Amnesty in Harvard, the Islamic Social Cell, the Arab Social Cell, and a cell containing Jewish students.

The statement said, among other things, that the Hamas attack "did not take place in a vacuum, because for the past two decades, millions of Palestinians in Gaza have been forced to live in an 'open-air prison' while Israeli officials promised to 'open the gates of hell to them.'"

The statement added that "only the apartheid regime should be blamed" and that it was responsible for the Hamas terror attack, with a series of organizations calling on the Harvard community to take action to "stop the ongoing extermination of the Palestinians."

Wilcox's mother, Joan Malone, founder of the successful brand sold to beauty giant Estée Lauder in 1999, declined to comment on the information revealed about her son, agreeing only to say that the war in the Middle East had left her heartbroken, calling the Hamas attack "abhorrent."

It is important to emphasize that there is no connection between the Lauder Group, founded by Estée Lauder, who is Jewish, and Jo Malone – the company bought the brand name from them and nothing more. A few days ago, Erin Lauder, Estée Lauder's granddaughter, posted a story in support of Israel, with a photo of a Star of David and the word "united," and as a result she received an onslaught of hateful messages from Hamas supporters, and various posts were posted on Israeli social networks asking for the Israelis' help in encouraging and sending good messages on her Instagram account.

The Estée Lauder Group, owner of the Joe Malone brand: "The Joe Mellon London brand was bought in 1999 by the Estée Lauder Group of Companies, and since then there has been no connection between the brand and the lady who founded it, Mrs. Jo Malone, and certainly no connection to her son. The brand has since been owned exclusively by Estée Lauder.

"Estée Lauder, the founder of the group, is Jewish and her family, which heads the group of companies today, is currently strengthening the State of Israel, the IDF and the citizens of the state."
