The conflict between Hamas and Israel has shown that the way "to resolve the Palestinian question is to resume genuine peace talks as soon as possible and to realize the legitimate rights of the Palestinian nation," thus resolving "an injustice." "China calls for restraint, de-escalation as soon as possible and preventing an expansion of the conflict," said Wang, who prioritized ensuring the safety of civilians and aid to "avoid a major humanitarian crisis in Gaza."
