The first ship of a German NGO partly financed by the Berlin government to rescue migrants in the Mediterranean has set sail from Spain. This was announced in a statement by the same non-governmental organization, "SeaEye", specifying that one of its ships set sail today "afternoon" from the port of Burriana. The boat is called "Sea-Eye 4" and is funded not only by the German government but by "a broad alliance" of supporters including the German partner of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, the statement said.
