From his bedroom in Bologna he had become a TikTok star, dressing up as the character of one of the most famous war video games, Call of Duty. Inquisitor Ghost, this is how the 23-year-old from Bologna called himself who in recent days committed suicide live on social media, while thousands of people were following him.

A tragedy in real time, which left all his followers speechless who began to storm the police switchboards with calls. Phone calls also came from abroad, but for the 23-year-old it was too late.

The Bologna Public Prosecutor's Office has opened a fact-finding file, without suspects or hypotheses of crime, on the story of the 23-year-old TikToker who committed suicide live on social media on Monday evening. According to the boy's father, known by the nickname of Inquisitor Ghost, and as many users of the platform claim, the 23-year-old would have been a victim of cyberbullying, with false accusations of pedophilia. At the moment this hypothesis has not yet been ascertained by the carabinieri, who will investigate in this sense to identify any responsible.

"There is no doubt that my son has been cyberbullied. There is no need even to file a complaint, it is so clear, the carabinieri already know everything. There is an investigation and I can not find those responsible, but just look at TikTok to understand who it was and what happened. Justice must be done," the father said. He, like many users of the platform, are convinced that the 23-year-old took his own life due to cyberbullying after the false accusations of pedophilia started by a 17-year-old Turkish girl, who had pretended to be an adult on the platform, and by another social user, who would have unleashed a media pillory.

"My son was introverted, not depressed, and until 10 days ago he was going through a good time, then everything changed. With me he always minimized what was happening to him, until the end. That evening we spoke half an hour before everything happened. He had told me about a violation of his privacy, not about social accusations of pedophilia, otherwise I would have intervened immediately". For the parent "it is clear" what they did to the child. "He hadn't even interacted with this Turkish girl, he blocked her right away. But on social media there are screenshots of false conversations between the two of them, republished several times by different users. Some of them, Italians, have apologized to me for what they have done, saying that they have been forced otherwise they too would have ended up in the media pillory unleashed by these people".

The young man was a cosplay, that is, he turned into a character of video games or cinema, wearing the skull mask with the empty eyes of the Ghost soldier or that of the Sith of Star Wars. On TikTok many do like him, creating stories and parallel worlds, and above all relationships between fans of that specific context, which are found in every corner of the world. The 23-year-old was very popular on platforms and communities: his profile, immediately obscured by the Chinese social network, had almost 300 thousand followers.
