Israeli fashion designer Nili Lotan has been working overseas for many years. In 2003, she launched the fashion house in New York that bears her name and since then she has gained a loyal and high-quality clientele.
On Saturday morning, she decided to address her customers directly through her Instagram account in order to raise financial donations to support the residents of Gaza village who lost everything in the devastating Hamas offensive on Saturday.
"As you know, since Saturday the State of Israel has been under brutal attack by a terrorist organization," she said in the video. "On behalf of myself and my company, I send my heartfelt condolences to everyone who has lost a relative or friend. There are no words you could describe the sadness and pain we all experience.
"I set up a donation page on my page to donate money to help and support the village of Gaza. Hundreds of members of the Kal kibbutz community were murdered, kidnapped or wounded. They lost everything they had and I ask you to help. I invite you to join me and donate as much as you can. I send my love to everyone. I hope for better days and peace."
The fashion items of Lotan, a graduate of Shenkar, are sold in the most prestigious boutiques around the world. Among her loyal clients are Jenfir Aniston and Jiji Hadid, who have expressed requests for support for Palestinian organizations. Lotan is married to singer David Broza, who also volunteered for the country and has been performing for soldiers in recent days.
