The Louvre Museum, the most visited in the world, was closed today for security reasons related to the terrorism alert that since yesterday has been raised to the highest level in France.
A spokeswoman for the museum, after the announcement of the closure in the middle of the day, then told AFP that "the Louvre has received a written message regarding risks for the museum and its visitors. We chose to evacuate it and close it for the whole day, the time necessary to proceed with the necessary checks".
