A little more than four years ago, on April 15, 2019, Notre-Dame en feu shook the whole world, bringing terrified passers-by to their knees, imposing the staggering spectacle of its own destruction on all screens suddenly forbidden to zap. That evening at around 20 p.m., firefighters led by agents from the Ministry of Culture and members of the clergy braved the rain of molten debris to protect the relics of the Passion and the Tunic of Saint Louis from the flames.
In the "base camp", the sacred treasures have joined the furniture already extracted from the choir and side chapels, paintings, decorations of Napoleon's coronation, altar candelabra. Then, at around 22:45 p.m., firefighters allowed access to the cathedral's treasury, which had been spared by the flames. A real human chain...
