It's a Sunday like Berneville, a village of 500 souls about ten kilometres from Arras (Pas-de-Calais), would never have thought of making a living from. In front of the town hall with its flag at half-mast, two gendarmes on duty forbid access to an alley. Behind them, a farmhouse stretches out with its single shutter, onto the closed street.
