Autumn is the perfect time of year to look for certain mushrooms – if you know a little about them – or to buy them locally and conjure up delicious dishes from them. Why not cook a Mediterranean zucchini casserole with mushrooms, minced meat and feta, or how about a pasta salad with chanterelles and fresh figs? Fried mushrooms with creamy dip are also very tasty and super easy to prepare. As well as the following recipe for the mushroom stir-fry dish.

Mushroom stir-fry recipe: You need the following ingredients for the quick mushroom dish

  • 800 g mushrooms
  • 2 onions
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of pepper
  • 1 pinch of paprika powder
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese

You will also need a little butter to fry the mushrooms and onions.

Preparation: This is how easy and quick it is to conjure up the delicious mushroom stir-fry

  • Wash, clean and quarter the mushrooms.
  • The onions are peeled and then cut into fine rings.
  • Put some butter in a pan and sauté both the mushrooms and the onions. Place the lid on the pan and let the mushrooms and onions sauté for a few minutes. If necessary, stir every now and then.
  • Season the stir-fry with salt, pepper and paprika powder and finally add the cream cheese.
  • Either you enjoy the dish as it is, or you serve it with bread, such as Mediterranean olive bread, or pasta, rice or potatoes.
