Highlights: Prince William and his son, Prince George, attended the Rugby World Cup quarter-final match between Wales and Argentina. Prince William was seen waving his hands and in particular his finger near his son's face, with a very serious look, as if he were lecturing him. Prince George seemed to have quickly let himself be overcome by boredom, rolling his eyes, sighing, and even tilting his head to the side. It's unclear if this behavior was lambasted by his father but it seems clear that Princes William and George shared a heated conversation afterwards.

On Saturday, October 14, father and son witnessed the defeat of their favourite team in the quarter-finals of the Rugby World Cup, between Wales and Argentina.

Contrary to what was announced, Prince William did not come alone in the stands this Saturday, October 14 at the Stade Vélodrome in Marseille. The Prince of Wales was accompanied by his son, Prince George, 10. Both took their seats in the stands at around 17pm to support Wales in the Rugby World Cup quarter-final against Argentina. Unfortunately for them, their favourite team was toppled, at the end of a match where tension was at its peak both on the field and in the royal stand.

Signs of Boredom and Lively Conversation

For the occasion, father and son wore a matching navy blue suit and red tie. Initially very focused on the game, Prince George seemed to have quickly let himself be overcome by boredom. Some photographers have spotted him rolling his eyes, sighing, and even tilting his head to the side, as if he's going to fall asleep.

It's unclear if this behavior was lambasted by his father, but it seems clear that Princes William and George shared a heated conversation afterwards. As Page Six points out in its columns, the Prince of Wales has shown himself waving his hands and in particular his finger near his son's face, with a very serious look, as if he were lecturing him. In front of him, the 10-year-old seemed to adopt the classic nonchalant posture of a preteen.

Comfort in the locker room

By the end of the match, the incident seemed to be over but the disappointment of Wales' defeat could be seen on the face of Prince William but especially his little boy. Father and son then went to the players' locker room to show their support. In the photos released by the press, we discover the Prince of Wales chatting with the athletes and at the same time, supporting his son, visibly dejected. To take his mind off things, perhaps his mother, Kate Middleton, will ask him to accompany her this Sunday, October 15 to attend the match between England and Fiji. Let's hope that their team comes out victorious this time.
