As Israel masses troops on the border with the Gaza Strip, Iran warns: "If the war crimes and genocide of Israeli apartheid are not stopped immediately, the situation could spiral out of control and have far-reaching consequences." This was stated by the Iranian mission to the UN.
Tehran has warned Israel in a message to the UN that it will respond if it continues its ground offensive in the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip.
"The responsibility (for the continuation of Israeli attacks) lies with the United Nations, the Security Council and the states that are leading the Council towards a dead end," the Iranian mission added.
