The succession already seems assured. Less than two weeks after announcing that he was taking a break from his music career "to focus on his health," Drake has just shared his son Adonis' first track, on the occasion of his sixth birthday.
The music video for the track, titled "My Man Freestyle," which shows the young man at a basketball game with his friends, at a mock press conference or at the gym, was shared on Drake's Instagram account, along with the following message: "Happy birthday my son... My Man Freestyle out now" (Editor's note: "Happy Birthday Son... "My Man Freestyle" is out now"), offering a nice promotion to his son.

Born on October 11, 2017, the son of Drake and former French actress Sophie Brussaux seems as comfortable with a microphone in hand as he is in front of the camera or on the court. Drake's biggest fans had already had the opportunity to listen to a passage of Adonis' first track, at the end of his father's track "Daylight", on his latest album, "For All the Dogs" released on October 6, 2023. At a recent concert in Los Angeles where Adonis was invited to see his father perform on stage, Drake asked his fans not to throw bras at him, as is customary at his concerts. "We're going to turn on parental controls tonight," he quipped.
