"Since 1907, love and passion in Nerazzurri colours", is the title of the news of the 116th birthday on the official website of Atalanta Bergamasca Calcio. The club, which actually originally adopted the black and white colours, was born under the name of Società Bergamasca di Ginnastica e Sports Atletici Atalanta on 17 October 1907 (the date on which the newspapers reported it), to become Nerazzurri in 1920 with the merger with the biancazzurra Bergamasca, beaten in the play-off in Brescia on 5 October 1919 to play in the Prima Categoria. The five historic founders, who would have signed the deed of incorporation at the Correggi Restaurant in Bergamo, are Eugenio Urio, Gino and Ferruccio Amati, Alessandro Forlini and Giovanni Roberti, belonging to the 'Giovane Orobia' sports club.
