The sexist words of Cristiano Giuntoli, Juventus' sporting director, would be uncommentable even in a tavern, let alone from the stage of the biggest Italian event where they talk about sport and sports culture. I think my distance from this way of expressing himself is clear, I would also like to see a stance from his club."
This was said by MP Mauro Berruto, national head of Sport of the Democratic Party, commenting on Giuntoli's "macho" statement to explain the wrong purchase of a footballer: "She is like a girlfriend - said the Juventus manager - when you take her home you understand that it is not good, that she does not wash, cook and iron".
