Egypt condemns "in the strongest possible terms the Israeli bombing" of the Al-Ahly Baptist Hospital in the Gaza Strip "which resulted in hundreds of innocent victims." In a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cairo believes that "this deliberate bombing of civilian facilities constitutes a serious violation of the provisions of international and humanitarian law and the most basic values of humanity and calls on Israel to immediately end its policies of collective punishment against the populations of the Gaza Strip."
