The "Top Chef" juror has chosen to "refocus on other important projects," she explained on her Instagram account.

It's the end of the road. Chef Hélène Darroze's restaurant "Jòia Bun", located in the 2nd arrondissement of Paris, closed its doors on Sunday, the "Top Chef" juror announced on her Instagram account.

"Thank you for following us since the opening of Jòia Bun, it has been a wonderful human adventure. Thank you for your smiles, your support and your encouragement. We had a blast with you," the chef said in a message. This restaurant offered street food dishes with burgers, salads and brunches. It closed on October 15 only 7 months after its opening which had taken place in March.

"We'll see you soon"

The head of the red brigade in "Top Chef", with three victories in the last four seasons, explains that she made choices that led her to stop the activity of "Jòia Bun".

"Today we have decided to refocus on other important projects, but we will soon see you again on rue de la Michodière for adventures that are just as exciting. We will keep you informed of the planned reopening date," she concludes, a sentence that suggests a new culinary project at the same address.

Like Hélène Darroze, another long-time "Top Chef" juror had chosen to put an end to his "street food" adventure: Michel Sarran announced on August 18 the closure of his French "Croq'Michel" establishments, dedicated to croque-monsieurs, three years after their launch. The Dubai restaurant still remains open, though.

A native of the Landes, Hélène Darroze is still at the helm of the two-star restaurant Marsan in Paris, the three-star Connaught in London and the Michelin-starred Villa La Coste, located in the Bouches-du-Rhône.
