As announced on the eve of the match, security measures are imposing around Wembley, where Italy plays England tonight in a match valid for the Euro 2024 qualifiers. After last night's terrorist attack in Brussels, London has raised the alert level, deploying several hundred Metropolitan Police officers in the streets around the stadium.
Groups of three or four policemen, spaced a few dozen meters from each other, guard the entire area adjacent to Wembley, including the avenue that leads from the underground station to the stadium. There is a full house tonight: the public has been recommended, through appeals via social media and recommendations from the security forces, to remain vigilant throughout the evening.
