In an interview with CNews, French Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin accused footballer Karim Benzema of having "known links with the Muslim Brotherhood", a radical Islamist organization accused of supporting terrorism. Darmanin was responding to a question about the position taken by the French Ballon d'Or winner now transferred to Saudi Arabia, who two days ago had taken the side of the "inhabitants of Gaza, once again victims of unjust bombings that do not spare women and children".
