Twitch streamer EliasN97, or Eligella, apparently invested in Bitcoin at just the right time, almost doubling his money as a result.
Berlin – As one of Germany's biggest streamers, EliasN97, aka Eligella, makes a lot of money via YouTube and Twitch. Earlier this year, he revealed to his fans that his streams, partnerships, and his own businesses were raising millions of dollars. He has now proven once again that he has a knack for finance. In a recent stream, he talked about his Bitcoin investment, through which he is also likely to have made a lot of money.
Eligella has invested over €200,000 in Bitcoin
What happened? On Eligella's stream, his streamer colleague Rohat was a guest and he talked to him about Bitcoin. According to this, it was Rohat who had advised him to buy about a year ago. He explains that he invested on November 25, 2022, and that he invested over $200,000 in Bitcoin. At that time, the price of one Bitcoin was 15,797.40 euros. It is now almost 27,000 euros (as of October 2023).
Here's how much money Eligella made with Bitcoin: The streamer doesn't reveal it himself, but since the most important key figures are known, you can also calculate it yourself. Since his investment, Bitcoin's price has risen by around 70 percent. Thus, EliasN97 is likely to be around 140,000 euros in plus.
Investing in Bitcoin is highly risky!
True, this sounds tempting and perhaps one or the other is inclined to invest in Bitcoin as well. But cryptocurrency trading is extremely volatile, which means that prices can fluctuate a lot. While it is possible for the value to rise, it can also fall just as quickly. In 2021, for example, the price of one Bitcoin was over 50,000 euros. From this point of view, the current figure of around 26,000 looks quite different.
As long as Eligella doesn't sell, he doesn't make a profit: Whether EliasN97 plans to pocket his winnings, the streamer does not reveal. But even if the Bitcoin price falls again, Elias shouldn't be too sad. As mentioned at the beginning, the 25-year-old earns enough. Therefore, it is no problem for Eligella to pay 8,000 euros in rent for an apartment.
