After last year's success and on the eve of 2024, the year of origin tourism, Roots-in, Roots TourismInternational Exchange, an international reference event for roots tourism presented at the Enit headquarters, returns to Matera on 20 and 21 November.
"The search for one's family roots and direct knowledge of the places of origin is becoming an increasingly urgent need on the part of second, third and fourth generation Italians scattered around the world (estimated at about 80 million)," explains Antonio Nicoletti, general manager of Apt Basilicata.
Among the novelties of this second edition is the presence of many new buyers and new countries of origin, such as Australia. Also innovative are the Labs, real laboratories, "where - explains Nicoletti - we will host experts in the tourism marketing sector, experts from the world of research and universities, analysis and experts in the research of origins, we will talk about marketing, communication, research and even technology, there will also be an interesting passage on the role of artificial intelligence in the customer journey of the returning tourist".
