Sometimes, to tell the story of an Italian ritual such as the aperitif, you need an international perspective. It is that of the singer Sting and his wife Trudie Styler who, together with a group of friends, presents, "Lover 1530". The launch of the new Italian Aperitif opens in Rome with a cocktail party at the Bulgari Hotel, complete with a concert for a few friends that opened with "Message in the bottle" and a recurring word by Sting, "love" for Rome, for life, for wine.
Behind this pleasant drink is an Italian know-how, that of master oenologist Riccardo Cotarella: "I thought of a vermouth that would reflect love, so well represented by Sting and Trudie, and their generous, harmonious, balanced way of living and traveling". Italy and the United States are the first distribution markets for Amante 1530, which travels in a package that includes specially designed vintage glasses, matchsticks and a deck of cards. This new product -dedicated to Author Mixology- was born about two years ago, during a dinner with friends: Sting and Trudie Styler started this project together with Ana Rosenstein, Richard Kirshenbaum and Barry Rosenstein, while they were guests at their Tuscan estate of Il Palagio, where they discussed the idea of creating a modern and innovative Amaro to be enjoyed together. They also brought in Len Tessler, Stuart Ellman, Sarah Foley, Mark Hauser and Michael Kassan, to complete the founding team of what would soon be known as Amante 1530. The origin of the name is entirely linked to the place where this project was conceived: the Tenuta de "Il Palagio", on the hills overlooking the Arno Valley.
In the evening, one of the guests drew the Lover's card from the "Tarot" deck; The founders read this as a curious sign of destiny and decided to name the new project they were creating. Subsequently, 1530 was added, as a tribute to the date of foundation of the Estate in Tuscany. The debut arrives simultaneously on both sides of the Atlantic, with an international launch in New York, Rome, Venice and Los Angeles.
