A cat owner shares a video of her cat. So far so good. But Francis is already 13 years old and still looks like a baby cat.

What applies to us two-legged friends also applies to cats: every cat is different. But some house cats are a little more out of the ordinary. Be it because they have an unusual coat pattern in terms of behavior, let's call it more original than others, or because they simply look "different". A good example of this: Francis the cat. His owner shares his touching story on TikTok among @francisandmaggie.

Kater is now 13 years old and still very small

In the clip, she can be seen lovingly stroking his back. At first, one suspects that it is a kitten. But Francis, at the age of 13, is already considered a senior. The male cat is short in stature – probably caused by some kind of growth disorder or genetic change.

Even though there are cat breeds that have been bred to stay particularly small, such as the Munchkin (also called dachshund cat) and are probably among the torture breeds due to this genetic change, the young woman emphasizes: "He is not a special breed. He is a normal cat with a genetic disorder, so he has stopped growing, but otherwise he is perfectly healthy. He's just small." On the other hand, this XXL Maine Coon cat is particularly large.

Tomcat is not from the breeder, but was rescued

The woman also reveals that she did not get her little darling from a breeder. Rather, it saved him from a difficult fate. She explains: "He was found as a stray kitten by construction workers in 2010. At the time, it was the size of my fist. And my parents have been taking care of him ever since." Presumably, no one wanted him at the time – fortunately he was found and taken in.
