A new risky challenge is raging on social media: it is the Hot Chip Challenge, the super spicy potato chip in the shape of a coffin, sold freely even to minors, in vending machines, on the Internet. The word Challenge means challenge: the product, in fact, is very popular on TikTok, a social network notoriously loved by the very young, with the hashtag #hotchipchallenge which has 131 million views.
The complaint comes from the National Consumers Union, which has filed a complaint with the Ministry of Health, Nas and the National Institute of Health and Antitrust. Consumers ask each of these bodies, within their competence, whether the product poses a direct or indirect risk to human health, whether it complies with the general requirements of food law, including labelling, and whether the commercial practice is correct. The case would already be on the table of the Nas.
