In the footage, the 54-year-old star appears in an austere setting, frozen in a block of ice the day after the Halloween party. Strange creatures polish her trap, until the diva, dressed as Mrs. Claus, rushes to scream her famous "It's tiiiiime!", causing her cage to explode. The landscape then transforms to the rhythm of his famous song, revealing fir trees, elves and snowflakes. Surrounded by her twins, Moroccan and Monroe (13 years old), the singer danced to the air of happiness.
"I just love the holidays"
The song All I Want for Christmas Is You resonates every year in homes during the Christmas holidays. Released in 1994, this track was a worldwide success, propelling the singer to the top of the charts as soon as the winter season hits. In 2019, 25 years later, she released a new music video for her hit, which garnered nearly a million views in just a few days. Interviewed by the New York Times the same year about the song, Mariah Carey explained, "I used to criticize it every time I heard it, but at this point, I feel like I'm finally able to appreciate it... I don't know, I just love parties. I know it's silly, but I don't care." A silliness that warms hearts, every year.
