At mid-session, European stock markets confirmed their gains on the day of the three witches, i.e. when bonds, futures and options expire.
The indices are not thought by the PMIs of the main economies, all of which are worsening, nor by the lack of visibility on the moves for 2024 by the ECB, which, in the meantime, has left rates unchanged.
The Old Continent area index, the Stoxx 600, is moving on a quarter of a point of rise with tech ahead of others.
In Milan (+0.3%) Tim jumps (+3.2%) now that there is certainty that the sale of Netco to KKR will go ahead. The legal action filed by Vivendi does not contain a request for a stay of proceedings. On the opposite front, Diasorin (-4.3%) gives up while waiting for the business plan. For the rest, among the other markets, Paris rises 0.6 percent, Frankfurt 0.4 percent. London contracted (-0.5%). Government bond yields continue to fall with the 10-year BTP at 3.7% while the spread with the bund is stable at 167 points.
On the raw materials front, the price of gas still updates the lows since the end of 2021 and touches 33.48 euros per megawatt hour (-3.5%). Oil is still on the rise with WTI on the threshold of $72 (+0.56%) and Brent at a step close to $77 (+0.4%).
As for foreign exchange, the euro remains weak against the dollar, with which it trades at 1.0957.
