This is a first step towards the significant adaptation of the Catholic Church to the times. In a ten-page text, the Vatican published on Monday, December 18, a "doctrinal declaration" approved by Pope Francis, authorizing the blessing of homosexual couples and, more broadly, "couples in an irregular situation" – the divorced and remarried.
What's next after this ad
The idea had been in Francis' head for a long time: in a letter sent in July to conservative cardinals, made public in early October, the pontiff already explained that people "of the same sex" who are in a relationship could be subject to "blessings."
