The first segment of the Tel Aviv municipality's huge project, which will extend Ibn Gvirol Street to Herzliya, has been completed; We are talking about the construction of a new route, parallel to Namir Road, through which the green line of the light rail will pass and around which a new neighborhood will be built – which will include about 20,000 housing units, business areas and offices. In about a year, the continuation of Ibn Gvirol Street in the Sde Dov section will open to vehicular traffic.

Along the new section of Ibn Gvirol, development will be carried out in accordance with urban concepts that promote mixed-use, alongside offering a variety of transportation solutions for residents and residents. The cost of the street extension project and the construction of underground municipal infrastructure up to Herzliya: about NIS 700 million.

The extension project more than doubles the length of Ibn Gvirol Street – the famous urban street and adds to the existing 3.1 kilometers, an additional 5.5 kilometers of a new urban axis with bicycle paths and 4 rows of new trees that will add natural shade. The development of all underground infrastructures, including the implementation of the leading technologies, which are supposed to provide a solution for the new neighborhood, from water drainage, through the operation of a pneumatic garbage system, to tree habitats. This, as stated, is alongside the paving of the new road and the preparation of the development required for laying tracks for the green line of the light rail that will pass along the route.

Tel Aviv-Yafo Mayor Ron Huldai: "Even in times of war, Tel Aviv-Yafo does not stop renewing and growing. Ibn Gvirol's new route, which will also be used by the light rail's Green Line, is an important part of the city's continuation to the north and its connection to neighboring cities, and will contribute to additional transportation solutions that will make it easier for all of us. At the same time, we are not giving up on green and sustainable thinking, and together with the axis, trees are being planted, advanced green systems are being built, a bicycle path will be paved and even a beautiful new park has been built for the benefit of residents and residents."

Springboard Park in Tel Aviv / Guy Yehieli

Additional news produced by the city of Tel Aviv: A new neighborhood park is currently opening - Springboard Park. The park, built at a cost of NIS 16.5 million, includes a 250-meter jogging track, a play area, an ecological pool surrounded by a deck and seating areas and trees.

The highlight of the park is the mythological springboard that was part of Glilot Country Club - the first urban country club in Israel, built in the city in 1965 and operating there until 2005.

The springboard was designed in a brutalist architectural style and was preserved by the Tel Aviv-Yafo municipality as evidence of the development of extensive sports infrastructures established after the establishment of the State of Israel and an Olympic sport in which Israel took part. This is one of the only springboards left in the country, and it has been incorporated as part of the park's new development at the center of the ecological pool.

The area of the new neighborhood park, which was built adjacent to the WIX and Blue complex, is about 11 dunams and was designed to provide a green and natural sheet for the residents of the neighborhood and the employees of the adjacent office complex.
