When the days slowly get cooler and darker again in autumn, it calls for a warm cup of tea or coffee in combination with a piece of cake or a sweet pastry. What could be better than fluffy yeast pastries filled with a juicy cinnamon butter? Cinnamon rolls are probably at the top of the list of absolute baking classics for autumn.
Cinnamon Rolls and Co.: Baking in Autumn
Autumn is particularly popular for baking, because the sweet temptations from the oven warm body and soul. Before you start making Christmas cookies in December, you can bake yourself warm in October and November. In addition to various delicious ways of processing seasonal plums, such as in an autumnal plum crumble, in a traditional plum cake or in a fruity alternative from the tray, spices are particularly popular.

Ingredients for the autumnal yeast pastry

- 500 g flour
- 120 g sugar
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- 3 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 cube fresh yeast
- 160 g soft butter (plus a little more for the pan)
- 270 ml milk
