Spaniard Quique Sanchez Flores, a former Benfica Lisbon and Atletico Madrid player, is the new coach of Sevilla. This was announced by the club that had sacked Diego Alonso on Saturday.
Quique Sanchez Flores, a former Valencia, Real Madrid and Zaragoza player, won a Europa League with Atlético in 2010, has spent the last two seasons in La Liga with Getafe, after trying his luck in the United Arab Emirates, China and England.
Eliminated from all European competitions, Sevilla are currently 17th in the standings.
