Sweet and sour fruits of a classic apple pie combined with spicy speculoos biscuits and a scoop of vanilla ice cream – can there be a more Christmassy dessert?
If you have already eaten your fill of gingerbread and cookies, you can try a Christmas cake instead for the next Advent coffee or visiting relatives during the holidays. Because a piece of grandma's moist spice cake or the heavenly chocolate cinnamon cake should make even the biggest Christmas grouch mild. If you like it a little fruitier, you can bake the aromatic speculoos apple pie in a short time the perfect dessert for a successful Christmas dinner.
Baking with apples – timeless classics and trendy delicacies
Grandma already knew that sweet and sour apples combined with sour cream or buttery crumble can be wonderfully transformed into delicious cakes and sweet Danish pastries. And even today, their classics are still gladly baked. For example, a still oven-warm piece of grandma's juicy apple sour cream cake with almonds and cinnamon is particularly good on uncomfortable autumn and winter days.

In addition to tried-and-tested cake classics, modern baking recipes based on apples can also inspire the Internet. The versatile fruit in the form of a time-saving apple tart with buttery puff pastry or as quick puff pastry apple rings is particularly popular with less experienced bakers.
