The iconic figure of contemporary Irish music, Sinead O'Connor, died on July 26 last year at her London residence of natural causes. This is what emerges from the conclusions of the British coroner who carried out the investigation into the disappearance of the singer and musician at the age of 56.

Scotland Yard had provided few details about O'Connor's death, limiting itself to saying that it had found her lifeless in her home and that it did not consider her death as "suspicious" to postpone any certified conclusion on the ultimate causes of death to the final report of an autopsy ordered by the coroner.

After the singer's passing, the media had recalled the bipolar disorders that plagued her as well as the message on the threshold of despair that she spread in 2022 through social media after the suicide of one of her four children, 17-year-old Shane. O'Connor's funeral in Dublin last August was attended by thousands of people to pay their last sad farewells to the tormented music legend.
