A rapprochement between Israel and Arab countries, most of which do not recognize Israel, would be "the best way to isolate Iran and its supporters." This was stated in Cairo, Egypt, by the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken.
"Israel's security and (regional) integration are linked to paving the way to a Palestinian state," he added during the last leg of his Middle East diplomatic marathon, dedicated to the Gaza conflict.
Blinken, from Bahrain, met with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to discuss the war in Gaza and humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. Egypt and Qatar are brokering between Israel and Hamas the possibility of a humanitarian truce and a new prisoner exchange.
