The International Ice Hockey Federation has excluded Israel from the Women's World Cup in March in Estonia. Israel ha-Yom writes that the decision was made to ensure the safety of other teams.
The Israel Hockey Association countered that this is "a prize for terrorism" and announced an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport. For the president of the Israel Olympic Committee, Yael Arad, "this is a dangerous precedent, smelling of anti-Semitism, under the pretext of security considerations." But Arad is confident that the International Olympic Committee will support Israel.
