Today Enrico Letta met with Christine Lagarde, President of the ECB. This is what we learn from sources close to Letta. The meeting took place in Paris as part of the former Italian Prime Minister's consultations with the European institutions in view of the preparation of the Report on the Future of the Single Market to be presented to the Spring European Council. A report requested by the European Council and the European Commission. The meeting discussed all aspects of the single market and in particular the prospects for strengthening the integration of the Capital Markets Union and the Banking Union.
