A beacon in the freezing night. A lighthouse with a sweet taste. We barely entered the Zenith in Lille (North) on Thursday evening when we were already warmed by the powerful smell of waffles. Calogero has the power to warm too. At 20:40 p.m., the thermometer jumped when he appeared in the semi-circle arena, which was sold out. Ten days after his traditional intimate warm-up tour at the Européen, his favorite small Parisian venue, the singer launches his new tour of the Zéniths in the North, called A.M.O.U.R, like his ninth album released in September. And it's right on time. Which is rare for a first date.

As always with "Calo", the 6,200 spectators are expecting a big show... And he surprises them after the traditional introduction by Ennio Morricone by arriving alone, on the fully lit stage, to begin it with two songs in piano-voice, "Dénouement heureux", a short story, and "Si seul je peut lui manque", a classic accompanied by the audience. It doesn't get much more sober than that. But we suspect that it won't last. It disappears. The Zenith plunges into darkness. And reappears with his whole band in the heart of a huge video rectangle that broadcasts in XXL size the letters A.M.O.U.R. and some essential words of the song of the same name in a surge of decibels.
