The carabinieri of the Heritage Protection Unit have subjected to evidentiary seizure, on activity delegated by the Macerata Public Prosecutor's Office, the painting attributed to Rutilio Manetti, Sienese Seventeenth Century, "The Capture of St. Peter" in the availability of Undersecretary for Culture Vittorio Sgarbi, investigated for laundering cultural property. The military searched three homes of the art critic, who denies all accusations and who voluntarily handed over the painting. The seizure is a necessary act to carry out all the checks on the painting.
