The musical director of the Teatro Colón, Jan Latham-Koenig, was ousted from his position on Friday in London after being accused of sexual abuse of minors in London.
"Faced with the news of an extremely serious complaint against Jan Latham Koening, in the United Kingdom, the Teatro Colón has decided to disassociate him from all current and future activities that he carried out within the scope of the Institution," said sources from the City.
Latham-Koenig, 70, is charged with organizing or facilitating a child sex offense and sexual communication with a child, police said.
Jan Latham-Koenig is 70 years old.
This Friday, already seated in front of Westminster Court, the artist did not testify and only limited himself to confirming his name and address.
