The UN Human Rights Office said today that Israel has repeatedly failed to comply with international humanitarian law since it launched its offensive in Gaza in response to the Hamas attack on 7 October. This was reported by Reuters online.
"We have repeatedly highlighted Israel's recurrent failures to uphold the fundamental principles of international humanitarian law: distinction, proportionality and precautions in carrying out attacks," said Elizabeth Throssell, spokeswoman for the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR).
