In 1998, Amazon launched its online store for books. These twenty titles were among the most popular that readers bought.

When Amazon was launched in 1998, the online shop contained the huge amount of 900,000 book titles at the time. The very first book to go over the virtual counter on Amazon was "Mastering Simulink 2", a non-fiction book about software. Today, there are several million book titles that can be ordered there. For comparison, we have summarized the ten largest libraries in Germany for you here. We introduce you to the twenty most popular book titles on Amazon.
