2024 will be a milestone year for Hugh Jackman. 24 years after his first appearance as Wolverine, the legendary superhero with retractable claws from the X-Men comics, the 55-year-old Australian actor is once again taking out his costume to join the cast of the next Deadpool 3 with Ryan Reynolds, which is scheduled for release in theaters on July 26. While we know very few details about the plot of this new opus, the actor offered a little look behind the scenes of his extreme physical preparation on Sunday, January 14 on his Instagram account. Specifically, he revealed the contents of his low-calorie plate, which is supposed to help him lose his fat mass without losing his muscles.

Fish, greens and cream cheese
The first meal revealed in the story immediately sets the tone. In a stainless steel food box are three tiny slices of white fish, accompanied by a mixture of asparagus and broccoli visibly cooked in water or steamed, and a slice of lemon. In the following photo, we find more or less the same ingredients, but in more limited quantities: a slice of white fish and a pan-fried green asparagus. Finally, in the last shot, the white fish seems to have disappeared from his plate to be replaced by a ladle of cream cheese, which is associated with... broccoli.

"If you know, you know," Hugh Jackman captioned the post. This Anglo-Saxon expression is the equivalent of the French acronym TMTC, an abbreviation of "toi-même tu sais", expressing an innuendo common to a group. Here, the Australian actor seems to sympathize with athletes adopting an ultra-disciplined diet, even ironically about the poverty of their meals. We will have to wait a few more months to see for ourselves on the big screen the result of these impressive efforts.
