The purely plant-based chocolate cake is prepared in a brisk five minutes and can therefore probably call itself the simplest vegan chocolate cake in the world.
If you want something sweet for your afternoon coffee party, you can quickly reach for the biscuit packet. A juicy piece of homemade cake would also be quite fine. Don't use a ready-made baking mix, because some ingeniously simple cake recipes will cost you even less time and effort and taste a lot better.
Baking with chocolate: Vegan, low carb or no baking at all
In addition to a simple chocolate pound cake, more and more unusual variations of the popular cake classic can now be found on the Internet. For example, sliced zucchini can be baked into the chocolate cake. The vegetables can't be tasted after baking, but they make the cake wonderfully moist and a little healthier. Carbohydrate-reduced and completely sugar-free, the delicious low-carb chocolate cake can convince all figure-conscious chocoholics.

Even those who follow a vegan diet can bake cakes and pastries for all they are worth. Because the crunchy chocolate cookies without egg can also be baked wonderfully with margarine instead of animal butter and thus purely plant-based. When preparing a delicious fridge cake, the foolproof chocolate cheesecake, even the oven can be omitted.
Ingredients for the vegan variation of the moist chocolate cake
For a cake from the regular springform pan or loaf pan, you will need:
- 280 g flour
- 180 g sugar
- 75 g baking cocoa
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 125 ml water
- 125 ml vegetable oil (neutral)
- 1 tbsp balsamic/apple cider vinegar
- 1 pinch of salt
- Optionally, some powdered sugar for decoration

That's how easy it is to bake the popular classic cake purely plant-based
For a purely plant-based chocolate glaze, 120 grams of dark (vegan) chocolate can be coarsely chopped and melted over a water bath. Then stir with 30 milliliters of plant-based milk until smooth and pour over the cooled cake.
Is the vegan chocolate cake a bit too chocolaty for you? Then try a moist marble cake next time instead, because the purely plant-based version of the cake classic is also quick to bake.
