"I still don't have a clear idea about the schedule, I'll evaluate calmly. I certainly want to get back to playing consistently. I'm happy to be back on the court, for me tennis remains a beautiful sport, even if sometimes it doesn't go the way you would like. Tennis has given me so much and there is always a lot of passion even if now I live it in a different way. I know my potential and I know what I've done, but after a certain age there is no more anxiety and you live it in a more peaceful way."
Camila Giorgi comments on her first-round defeat at the Australian Open against Belarusian Viktoria Azarenka.
Words that for a moment had left the fans of the 32-year-old from the Marche region apprehensive.
"I played very well, I think it was a good performance. I gave it my all, I was very aggressive, I often went to the net and I always tried to manage it - she explained - I didn't count the first set, I was a bit cold also because I had played few matches and it is not easy, in a tournament like this, to find such a strong player immediately in the first round. I think I played the second set at a very good level, even the third but maybe only at times and I wasn't completely solid. However, I can be satisfied with what I have done, even when I have made mistakes they have never been crazy mistakes," Giorgi said.
