The climate crisis could cause 14.5 million deaths by 2050, according to an analysis by the World Economic Forum. The analysis warns that climate-exacerbated natural disasters could lead to economic losses of $12.5 trillion, and additional costs to the health system of more than $<> trillion. The climate crisis will exacerbate global health inequalities, leaving the most vulnerable most at risk, the report explains.
