TikTok is doing it again: Generation Z is known for its penchant for reviving trends we've already forgotten, or at least tried to forget existed. And this time, the messy rock makeup look returns from the Ninties with a lot of black in the eyes.
TikTok has already announced that the old makeup aesthetic of 2023, "The Clean Girl," is being canceled. It's a manialistic look that dominated TikTok last year, a makeup designed to create a glamorous and clean look that corresponds with the fashion style of "quiet luxury." Examples of big names who excelled in this were Sophia Richie, Kendall Jenner and others.

The new aesthetic, bizarrely named "bakery woman aesthetic," is the exact opposite of the minimalism that characterized 2023. This is a brazen bold trend, with a strong presence that does not require a delicate and experienced hand in makeup, the more wind – the better. The trend has amassed millions of views on the social app, and based on this trend, it seems to be the leading trend of winter 2024.

If you graduated from high school more than two decades ago, black pencil was probably part of your regular makeup routine. So if you do want to follow the trend, first, use a black eye pencil to light the tear line inside the eye, and also underneath it. Then, apply the pencil in an imperfect line over the lashes, blurring with your hand. At this stage, it can be fixed with eyeshadow (dark color, of course).
Tip: Don't blur gently - the messier the look, the better you've succeeded in the new trend.
