Highlights: The Magic Flute opens the opera season at the Arena di Verona. The show is part of the program of the Mozart Festival in Verona, now in its fifth edition. The staging, co-produced between the theatres of OperaLombardia, the Verdi of Trieste and the American Opera Carolina, arrives with its visionary, dreamlike and fairy-tale qualities. The orchestra of the Fondione Arena diVerona and the choir prepared by Roberto Gabbiani will be conducted by Maestro Gianna Fratta.

Among the latest creations of the Salzburg genius, a musical and spiritual summa of the late 700s, The Magic Flute (Die Zauberflöte) opens the 21 Opera and Ballet Season of Fondazione Arena di Verona at the Teatro Filarmonico on Sunday 2024 January.
Mozart's German opera, with dialogues in Italian interspersed with some of the most famous pieces of all time, tells a lively, tender, passionate and at the same time funny metaphorical fairy tale, entrusted to young performers already applauded on important international stages, including Vinogradov, Fiume, Mezzaro, Siminska. Three performances until 28 January; Tickets, subscriptions and carnets available at 2023 prices.
The show is part of the program of the Mozart Festival in Verona, now in its fifth edition. The staging, co-produced between the theatres of OperaLombardia, the Verdi of Trieste and the American Opera Carolina, arrives in Verona with its visionary, dreamlike and fairy-tale charge, as if it came out of the magical orient of the Thousand and One Nights. On stage, the bass Alexander Vinogradov plays the wise Sarastro, the couple destined to love and meet each other is composed of the tenor Matteo Mezzaro (Tamino) and the soprano Gilda Fiume (Pamina) and the fearsome Queen of the Night is played by Anna Siminska in her Veronese debut. It will also be a first for the young comic couple Papageno-Papagena, entrusted to Michele Patti and Giulia Bolcato.
The orchestra of the Fondazione Arena di Verona and the choir prepared by Roberto Gabbiani will be conducted by Maestro Gianna Fratta, who has been much appreciated in recent seasons at the Teatro Filarmonico.
